T Drake Roofing now offer Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) roofs

GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) has been used for many years, mainly for building boats. Because of its corrosive proof properties, high strength and excellent apperance it has been adapted for roofing, and is becoming more in demand as an alternative to felt roofs which have a poor reputation.

GRP roofs are tough, can be walked on and are easily repaired if you are unfortunate enough to have a roof tile slip and crash onto your GRP roof.

Installation

Installation comproses of a new OSB ounge and Grooved Stirling Board laid to joists, or overboarding exsisting felt roof. Roofing resin is then laid onto the deck with chopped strand matting.

Finish

Finally a Top Coat of pre-pigmented resin is laid over the roof and with pre-formed drip edges and upstands gives a high quality durable finish.

All materials used come from Matrix Composite Materials who have trained all our operatives and together with T Drake Roofing we can offer a 20 year guarantee.

GRP roofs will outlast most felt roofs, it is hardwearing, durable and waterproof, just look at how many boats are at sea made from GRP.

GRP can also be used to make liners for fish ponds.
